MY HAND TOOLS

My hand tool collection is constantly growing. You can see many of the tools that I use on a regular basis to build my projects down below. On the contrary, restoring tools is an option that I, and many other woodworkers, have done. Old rusty tools are not hard to come by if you look in the right place. Some places to buy old tools: Ebay, craigslist, facebook marketplace, garage sales, tool swaps, antique stores, etc. Need tools??? Have a look below! Thanks

STANLEY CHISELS

These chisels are AMAZING! I cut ALL my joinery with these. The steel is excellent quality and holds an edge well.

STANLEY SOFT HAMMER

I use this hammer all the time! Perfect hammer for joinery and light tapping. Super light and gives lots of control.

CHEAP STANLEY CHISELS

We all need a set of beater chisels. Great for scraping glue, opening cans, and other tasks.

HEAVIER WOOD MALLET

This thing works great while removing large amounts of material. Soft face works well for tapping joints together too.

Avoid tear out on difficult grain. Great for contours and corners also.

9 INCH RASP

Great for Shaping handles and refining curves.

FLAT SPOKE SHAVE

Get a smooth surface using a spoke shave. Also makes rounding over edges a breeze.

ROUND BOTTOM SPOKESHAVE

MARKING GUAGE

SQUARE SET

A set of squares is important to have for layout, tool set up, and much more!

FLEXCUT PALM CARVING SET

These give a tremendous amount of control. Great for small, detailed carving.

MY LARGE POWER TOOLS/EQUIPMENT

 DELTA TABLE SAW

I have owned a Delta Cabinet Table Saw for several years now. For the price, it is an excellent saw. The T-Style fence is something that I’ve really grown to love.

POWERMATIC JOINTER

I actually own an older 8” Grizzly jointer. When I upgrade, I will probably buy this jointer. 8” wide is a must for me. Helical cutter head is awesome too!

DEWALT PLANER

BY FAR, this has been the best bank for my buck. I have definitely put is through its paces, and it has delivered!

CRAFTSMAN MITER SAW

A compound sliding miter saw is not a necessity, but it has come in handy. I mostly do cross-cutting on the table saw, but its good for chopping rough stock.

RIKON BANDSAW

I own an older Craftsman 10” bandsaw, but this Rikon model is just as good.

CRAFTSMAN DRILL PRESS

A drill press is a must have for any wood/metal shop. I haven’t needed anything larger than this.

WEN AIR FILTRATION

I recently purchased this unit, and it has worked amazingly! Save your lungs!

RIDGID SHOP VAC

I would HIGHLY recommend purchasing a shop vac if you can’t afford a dust collection system. A clean shop is a safe shop!

MAKITA JIG SAW

This powerful jig saw can cut curves, rough stock, and can replace a bandsaw in many applications.

MAKITA CIRCULAR SAW

A small, cordless, nimble saw like this is invaluable in a woodworking shop.

RIDGID TRIM ROUTER

Great for rounding edges, adding chamfers, doing inlay, etc.

RIDGID PALM SANDER

I’ve been quite surprised by this little router. It has been heavily used in my shop.

RIDGID BELT SANDER

I don’t use this frequently, but when I need to remove material quick, this is what I grab!

RIKON SLOW SPEED BENCH GRINDER

This is the perfect grinder for tool sharpening and other simple grinding tasks.

MAKITA BATTERIES

Extra batteries are always handy for those who use power tools frequently in the shop.

This lens can create a very shallow depth of field. I use it all the time.

RODE VIDEOMIC PRO

This shotgun mic is perfect for capturing sound directly in front of camera. Sound quality is superb

MANFROTTO TRIPOD

I own two of these bad boys! I’m pretty aggressive with these. I am constantly tossing them around the shop to change angles. Highly recommended! Super robust/excellent quality.

MANFROTTO JOYSTICK HEAD

Change camera angles quick with this joystick tripod mount. I’ve owned one for two years and absolutely love it.

MANFROTTO FLUID HEAD

This tripod head can give dynamic shots and smooth panning. I use it when filming; I love it.

CANON BATTERIES

Always need extras of these on hand.

MANFROTTO QUICK RELEASE PLATE

I have these on all cameras/tripod attachments. Being a one-man production, I often switch setups while filming. These make it super easy!

This is my workhorse! I use this to edit my videos, design projects, etc.

GENARAY LIGHT

I have this light mounted on one of my cameras. Works well.

SEGATE 4TB EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE

This is a must for any content creators. I put all my videos, photos, and files on hard drives.

SHOP ACCESSORIES

IRWIN QUICK-GRIP CLAMP PACK

I always have these out and ready to use for my projects. They are built well and are reasonably priced.

BESSEY K-BODY CLAMPS

These clamps are incredible! Perfect for large glue ups without damaging wood. They are an investment, but worth every penny.
